In the first weeks of April, two-thirds of our members have signed up to Uber Eats and completed 10,000 deliveries and counting.
Uber Eats may be new to you so to help you drive smarter, here are some pointers that may be of help:
- Stats show that peak hours for Uber Eats are between 11:00 am – 2:00 pm and from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm on weekdays
- Demand peaks over the weekend. Times include 9:00 am – 3:00 pm Saturday, 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm Saturday and all day on Sunday
- Check out these links for the busiest areas to drive by city: Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney

Signing up to Uber Eats and Uber Parcel
The eligibility criteria are the same as for UberX, so if you’re an active Uber driver, you’re automatically ready to start with Uber Eats and Uber Parcel. Getting started is simple:
Uber has activated cross–dispatch for all Splend members. You would’ve seen a notification in your Uber Driver app and you can activate Uber Eats directly from there.
If you missed the notification, you can also sign up to Uber Parcel now. You’ll be asked to accept the terms and conditions and get all the information you need to get started. If you’re having trouble signing up, just call your Member Success Representative on 1800 775 363. We’re here to help.
