Access Canberra will assess your application and post the WWVP card to you. Processing this application usually takes 4-6 weeks.

The next step is to book an appointment and complete a Commercial Driver’s Health Assessment form at your local GP. This should cost between $50-150 depending on your GP, and will be valid for 5 years.
You’ll also need to apply as a sole trader through the Australian Business Register and create an ABN number.
To drive Uber in Canberra, you’ll need to upgrade your ACT driver’s licence to a D-condition at Access Canberra.
In ACT, you need to take a driving safety course before you can you start to work legally as a rideshare driver. You can complete the driver safety education course online, using your Uber account.
